I’ve collected Subarus a long time and currently own 11 of them including a 1970 360 Sedan, 1991 Legacy Turbo, 33k mile 2004 STI and a 3k mile S209. (See last 2 photos for my display at the NY Auto Show). I’ve always wanted a 2 door but could never find one I liked enough in good condition. I eventually gave up and decided to import one myself a few months back and found this car in Hiroshima at a dealer. It is in great shape with no rust and just 100k km on it. It also benefits from having no modifications besides a boost gauge, head unit and rear speakers. As far as I’ve seen, it’s the nicest one in the country, and I have really been looking around diligently for another. Being that this is a limited, it benefits from a roof vent, cherry blossom emblem, and its original 74F paint. Work that I have done since I’ve taken delivery of it includes refinishing the intake manifold, new hood insulation, replacing the front brake calipers, rotors and pads with new OEM parts, reinstalling the correct original OEM wheels with new Yokohama tires, and replacing the battery. The car drives flawlessly with no noises or creeks and the AC even blows ice cold! The V5 coupe is one of my favorite cars they have ever made in the right color. In college I always wanted to make a 2.5 RS coupe into one and even came up with extensive parts lists, but now I’m honored to have the actual car!
