My Subaru in World Rally Blue isn’t just a good-looking car it’s part of something way bigger. Between the rally-inspired fenders, the big hood scoop, and a set of clean Sparco wheels, it gives off serious rally vibes. It looks the part, but more importantly, it feels like it’s built to take on anything. Even with all that, it’s still the perfect daily. All-wheel drive and a manual transmission? You just can’t beat that combo.
I got pulled into the Subaru world years ago from watching rally clips online. Seeing those cars tear through dirt and snow got me hooked. Of course, watching Ken Block slide a WRX around like it was nothing made it even cooler. Subaru’s rally history is legendary, but what really sealed the deal for me is the community.
There’s something special about the Subaru crowd. Everyone waves (you have to Subie wave, it’s basically the law), and people are always down to talk about their builds or help each other out. I’ve had strangers come up just to say they liked my setup, and I’ve done the same. It’s just that kind of vibe!
One of my best experiences so far was driving almost 900 miles to Tennessee for a meet that my friends invited me to. Not only was the drive an adventure on its own, but seeing all the different builds on the Tail of the Dragon was unreal. Even better I got to meet a few guys I still keep in touch with to this day.
This car is modded just how I like it so far, but there’s still more to come. Eventually, I might trade up to a VA WRX STI, but no matter what, I’m in this for life. The memories, the people, the drives it’s all part of what makes owning a Subaru so special.
