And then there’s Sage—my 2014 Subaru Crosstrek, reborn as a purpose-built overlanding machine and an unshakable companion on the road less traveled. Every bolt, every weld, every modification tells a story of grit, precision, and a relentless pursuit of adventure.
What began as a humble crossover has been painstakingly transformed into a battle-ready explorer—engineered to defy limits and carve new paths through forest, desert, and mountain alike.
The Arsenal of Upgrades
Lift & Suspension
Standing tall with a RalliTEK Performance B8 Terra Sport full 3-inch lift kit, complete with upgraded arms and links, Sage now clears an impressive 15 inches of total ground clearance. Obstacles that stop others cold are nothing more than stepping stones.
Interior Command Center
Inside, Orbis Overlanding’s MOLLE panel keeps quick-grab essentials secure, while an 8-gang AuxBeam switch panel gives me fingertip command over every beam of light mounted to this machine.
Exterior & Utility
From dual Orbis Overlanding rack wings to auxiliary Rotopax fuel and water tanks, Sage carries life-sustaining resources wherever the trails demand. At the rear, the BackWing attachment with XPRITE chase light guarantees visibility and safety no matter how wild the weather gets.
Lighting the Darkness
Mounted on a Rally Innovations Ultimate Light Bar, Sage pierces the night with Novsight Cyber Series SAE fog pods wrapped in amber armor, paired with Auxbeam LED pods. Overhead, a Nilight 42” LED bar floods the path forward, while ADF-mounted Auxbeam ditch lights banish shadows on either side.
Storage & Protection
A Yakima LoadWarrior basket swallows extra cargo, while Primitive Racing skid plates shield Sage’s heart—engine, transmission, and rear differential—against nature’s hardest punches.
