Meet my fully restored 1983 Subaru DL wagon—a labor of love, sweat, and serious wrench time. Thanks to the incredible work of David, who brought her back from the brink with a full ground-up restoration, she’s running like a dream and looking like she just rolled out of a time machine from the ’80s.
This wagon isn’t just a showpiece—she’s my daily driver and still handles the road like a champ. Every click of the odometer is a badge of honor. From the fresh paint to the fully sorted drivetrain, everything works as it should, because that’s how David built her!
And yes, she doesn’t have power steering—so that ride up to Connecticut from New Jersey? Let’s just say it was the ultimate upper-body workout. Talk about turning heads and arms!
The only piece of the puzzle still missing? Air conditioning. But hey, with windows down and that classic Subaru charm, who needs cold air when you’ve got cool style?
