Car Description:
My name is Steph, and Ms. Penny is my 2004 "New England" WRX, that I have completely modified and painted myself! I have dreamed of owning this car since I was 10 years old and if you fast forward 16 years, that dream is finally my reality! I LOVE my WRX, and I will continue customizing Penny's build to be better and better. I would love to have the opportunity to be a part of the car show so I can share my build with other car enthusiasts, and show them you can DIY without years of experience.
☆ Earlier this year, we swapped my stock engine for an IAG Performance Hand-Built 550 Subaru EJ25 Long Block Engine. The IAG Long Blocks feature a combination of their proven IAG 550 Performance Short Block and IAG 550 Cylinder Head package. The upgraded connecting rods and race bearings are able to support the additional engine load produced by my increased boost. I also hand painted the Engine Intake, Timing Covers, Fluid Caps, Hard Lines, and the Turbo Coolant Tank with my customer Purple Paint Combo.
☆ We swapped the stock Impreza WRX clutch kit, for a Stock 04-05 Impreza STI clutch kit.
☆ I personally painted my new Adjustable Long Travel Trailing Arms Purple, then installed them in the rear to reposition /center the wheels. We also installed aftermarket Rallitech Adjustable Front/Rear Sway bar links, and aftermarket Primitive Subaru Rally King Lift Adjustable Struts, which added an extra 1.5 inches to the lift.
☆I swapped the original Impreza suspension for the Outback suspension, then gave it a 3" lift in the rear, a 2" lift in the front, and added 1 inch wheel spacers to give it a New England WRX stance.
☆ Swapped stock 16" tires and wheels for 18" Aftermarket Cosmis wheels with a Purple powder coat and a full set of beefy tires.
☆ Installed aftermarket Cobb Catback Exhaust System
☆ Installed 'Circuit Demon' Heart Halos to front headlight.
☆ I redid my headliner using my favorite tapestry and 3M Headliner Glue
☆ Using Bleach and Fabric dye, I tie dyed my Floor Mats
☆ I have personally painted the Mirror Covers, Fog Light Covers, Roof Basket, Hood Scoop, Wiper Arms, Engine Covers, Windshield Wiper Cover, Misc Engine Components, All Interior Side moulding, Trim, Visors, Handles, etc, and my Side Skirts; with Plum Crazy Purple (Basecoat) and a Metallic Purple (Topcoat).
☆ I painted all plastic interior trim pieces to match the exterior purple, as well as some plastics under the hood. I also painted custom designs on the dash trim, light covers, and center visor.
☆ Using printable sticker paper and a 1K Clear, I created a Tail light reverse Heart Overlay and my own personalized Subaru Overlay for the Front Emblem.
☆ Installed Galaxy Shift Boot / Knob from Subimods
☆ Installed NRG Oil Slick/Glitter Black Aftermarket Steering Wheel
☆ I customized my front license plate cover, and got a MA Vanity Plate.
